USCAA and PSUAC Players of the Week
James Barlow, Delaney Burroughs, and the PSY Men's Basketball team all highlighted as weekly picks for the USCAA and PSUAC
We would like to congratulate a few people here at Penn State York for being picked as players of the week in the USCAA and PSUAC. They are:
34 James Barlow: Picked as the Men's Player of the Week for both the PSUAC and USCAA, while also being desginated the USCAA tournament MVP. During the USCAA Men's Division II Nationals James averaged 16.5 rebounds per game and 13.5 pgg. The PSUAC writes: "Penn State York's James Barlow saved his best performances for last this season, ending the year as a national champion while dominating the glass for his team. In three games in the USCAA National Championship tournament, Barlow averaged 14 points per game on 68 percent shooting. But even more impressive, Barlow averaged 18 rebounds per game and blocked nearly two shots a contest on the road to victory. Barlow's performances included a USCAA record 24 rebounds in the semis followed by another 21 in the championship. Of his 54 total rebounds, Barlow pulled down 22 on the offensive end, contributing to second-chance points for his team."
2 Delaney Burroughs: Picked as the Women's Player of the Week for the PSUAC. The PSUAC writes: "Guard Delaney Burroughs had an impressive week for Penn State York in the 2026 USCAA Division II Women's Basketball tournament, catapulting her team into the semifinals, the furthest the program has ever advanced in the postseason. Burroughs averaged 24 points in two games, contributing seven made three's in the two games. Her best performance came in the quarterfinals, as she poured in 29 points and grabbed five steals in a 63-51 win to advance to the semifinals. Burroughs scored 19 points against eventual champion Central Maine CC and played all 40 minutes in each game."
The ENTIRE Men's Basketball team: Picked as Team of the Week by the PSUAC. The PSUAC writes: "Penn State York captured its first-ever national championship on Saturday, March 7th with a 56-48 win over defending champ Miami-Hamilton. York's victories during the week included triumphs over Southwestern Adventist University and Kent State-Tuscarawas on their way to the 2026 USCAA Division II Men's Basketball title. James Barlow was named tournament MVP after setting a tournament record with 24 rebounds in the semifinals, followed by 21 in the final."
Each of these young men and woman did a fantastic job this season and WE ARE so proud of everyone on both the Men and Women's Basketball teams. Congrats on great seasons all!
